Freedom Birch Journal | Aventurine Crystal
This Handmade Birch Bark Journal is made from bark gathered in the mossy forest’s of North Andover, Massachusetts. Weir Hill to be exact. Beautiful 1700’s energy all around this area. A beautiful reservoir of water that when you jump in you can feel the water healing your energetic and physical body.
Birch Trees are a special Tree to me. Birch Trees being a native species of New England, it’s a Feeling of Home. Growing up in New England, noticing the Birch Trees was the highlight of long car rides on the Highway; the way the White glistened as the sun hit them always put a smile on my face.
In the early 1300s some of the first writings were written on the bark of the Birch, because it being so thin it was perfect for paper. I’ve always had a connection and love of all kinds of Stationary, so to think some of the first writings were on a birch Tree is just amazing to me. It only makes sense that I’ve always had this strong connection to stationary (made from trees) . Earth Energies | I am an Earth sign.
As a symbol across many cultures feathers have always represented a connection to spiritual realms and to divinity. And because of their connection to birds, they have always been a symbol of flight and freedom, not just physically but also in a mental or spiritual sense.
